Not much to post here. heading to Alabama this weekend to meet up with a good friend. Also looking forward to some upcoming projects with some old and new friends. The gals from the previous week's pin-up shoot want to get into some more trouble, and it looks like we'll have more gals, more props, and more fun. Awesome. In addition, phillip (the guy whos is kicking the sky above), might want to get into it here soon as well. Fun with cameras, people. Not too bad. Hope your week / month / life is going better than mine.

I'm finding that disciplining myself to post a photo and / or new entry each day a bit difficult. Apologies, here we go:

1. Facebook: a bunch of my newly formed tennessee friends have had their facebook accounts disabled. One has gotten it back after a few days, but man, it feels like I just got rejected by the internet. Seriously, I really can't handle anymore of that right now. 2009 pretty much used me up.

2. Photos: man, I've taken a few. Ill post one above sans watermark for the time being, but I have to say I didn't realize that TN was gonna find me shooting so much more. I suppose that's a good thing.

3. Man, I miss New York. Talk about putting one's foot in one's ass. I wish I would've realized that my previous frustrations there were just that - MY frustrations. NYC, I'm sorry, I miss you, take me back? I must note though, that I'm sure when I do make it back, it will feel so much different. Things have changed.

4. Got to attend an even where Eric Schlosser, author of "Fast Food Nation," spoke about the food industry. Without getting into a whole spiel about why we all need to change the way we eat, let me just say that it's nice to listen to someone who isn't trying to convince you to do anything more than just care about yourself. Nice guy, really.

5. Valentine's day: f**k you.

6. 30lbs: my previous post detailed a list of things I'm looking to accomplish in 2010. One of which was drop 60lbs in an effort to prolong my life and achieve a degree of "sexification." I'm 1/2 way there. awesomeness.

7. Aperture 3: i waited for you for so long, and then when you get here you like to randomly shut down on me or decide that i need to wait 20min for something to work. Damnit, Apple...what happened to the good ol' days where all my  gear just worked. RAWR.

8. Watching my good friend get hit on all night by an old friend from high school, despite the fact that a. my good friend is married, b. is not gay, and c. has never been (i think), was hilarious. He took it in good form (was that a joke?) and the night went well despite it pretty much revolving around 5 drunk a**holes trading stories about their exes. my life has hints of a clichéd movie script. also, i f**king hate ice cream.

9. Lost. I WANT ANSWERS, DAMNIT. stop sucking. no more kate episodes. she was boring 400 seasons ago.

10. Nope, typing anything here would just be filler.

So there is a list of 10 (9) things that have occupied my life / mind for the last 20 days. let's hope i dont wait another 20 to put anything up on here. Take it easy, internet friends.

later days,

I seemed to have slacked in my daily duties by not having posted an update in a bit, but trust me it's only been due to the burden of GRE studying. This doesn't excuse it, just explains it.

Some updates:

- The initial "get to know you" shoot I had with up-and-coming country music artist LB went well for being shut-inside the CMT HQ due to rain. Thankfully, we had studio space, time, and well-mixing personalities. There will definetly be more interesting photos to come. Can't wait to get outdoors and have some fun, she's a great subject (big ups to her manager Sam, she did a great job in handling the pressbaord wind machine).

- I've been studying like crazy. Seriously. I've averaged 8 hour days for a few days now, only breaking to hit the gym, cook dinner, and sleep. It's good though, as I'm enjoying getting back to the "learning" mindset. Hope it pays off.

- I've been working on an essay. I can't promise that it's ground-breaking, but I will do my best to present my thoughts clearly. I'd tell you what it's about, but I'm afraid it would turn most of you off. Give it a chance, please. You may find it appealing (it will not be a blogppost, but a link).

- I'm looking to incorporate some music suggestions here shortly, but I need to find a slick and simple way to integrate it into my site. Until then, please check out "We Were Promised Jetpacks." For those of you that know me and know what an "idisk" is, please check yours. Dropboxes, too.

That's about it for now. I'll do my best to pick up my photo-a-day obligations again tomorrow.

later days,

Antonyms are not a complicated thing. Good : Bad. Up : Down. You know it, you got it. But the good people over at Barron's and the GRE have perfected them into what I can only describe as mind rape. I ask you to please stop. Tertiary definitions are not to be used when the primary definition is so blatenly different in meaning. Did that sentance piss you off just a little? Me too.

Moving on, couple of new projects coming up. An engagement shoot and some fun flash work with an old car and a empty field. Totally stealing my pop's car to do it, too. Woot. Look for those here soon, as well as the much needed completion of the site (i am so not on top of my site. josh : unindustrious?)

Not that I'm anywhere near important to have an opinion that matters on the issue, but what the heck is NBC up to? Jay Leno is not funny. He's personable, but not funny. Conan is funny. You don't have enough of that. And Fallon? Sure, he doesn't make me laugh, but damnit I think of him as a friend I never met. Stop messing with my friends, NBC. Have Leno host the 5th or 6th hour (or however many hours it is now) of the Today Show or give him a spin-off of a spin-off of a spin-off (U.K. Office begat U.S. Office begat Parks and Rec.), you seem to be into that nowadays. Or just let him go. If you lose Conan, your a dummy. True, you will still have Leno, but all that makes you is a personable dummy. Still dumb. On a somewhat related note: HEY COMEDY CENTRAL! CONAN! FALLON! Do it.

 All for now, internet friends.

Especially at 10:00pm out on county roads in the middle of nowhere. Since powerplants arn't popular downtown attractions, I had no choice though. A friend and I drove a good 45 minutes outside of town to pop this image. I think we did an ok job despite the finger numbing pain and speeding local traffic. We did manage one good samaritan, though. Got to love the south, even if the guy didn't believe us at first when we told him we were just taking pictures. I guess the tripod, camera, and gear bags wern't enough to make my case. Go figure.

In other news, I'm running out of space. Recently I have stumbled into the DSLR video camp and have come to the realization that there is not a single CF card I have that can grant me enough space to capture what I'd like to. No biggie though, just got to plan my shots (storyboarding!). In addition to my video projects, I am excited about a few photo projects coming up. I hope to have something more to post here in the coming week, but for now I will leave it at this.

I hope everyone else is having a decent new year. If not, believe me, trying to make the most of what you got left is all you can do. Here's to making lemonade (or whatever your favorite cliché-based beverage may be).
